I'm a big fan of velodrome racing. I really enjoy the whole going fast, bumping shoulders with the guy trying to pass you, the rubbing of the wheels, the motor pacing, the doping, etc...
This is... a cool idea on paper that sort of falls flat in reality. Putting a miniature velodrome inside a roller skating rink and then running it as a time trial. It sort of like gold sprints (stationary roller races) without the head to head excitement.
Nice try though. Add some outer boards, let three people do a pursuit race, and you're onto something here.
